Clark Sexton Display &
Teaching Leave No Trace Manual

Display:

These displays were developed by Clark and have been used at demonstrations and Awareness Sessions such as Amicalola Falls State Park for a backpacking clinic to kick off the start of northbound Appalacian Trail hikers season.  Clark also used the display for six weeks at summer camp for Leader Awareness Sessions.

The display board files were created for use with standard size three panel display board available at your office supply store.  You can also build a heavy duty display board, which is what Clark did.  Use 1/2" plywood and cut two side pieces 12" X 36" and the center piece 24" X 36".   Use three hinges to connect each side to the center.

To make the display board multi-functional use heavy duty, self stick Velcro cut into 2 to 2.5" pieces and attach them to each panel at multiple locations around the outside edges.  Put the hook and loop pieces together when you mount them to the wood and then peel the backing off the unstuck piece and line up the printing and press to attach the Velcro to it.

The posters will need to be printed with a large color printer/plotter.  Once printed laminate the posters to protect them from water and other damage.

The original files were created in Adobe InDesign CS.  Clark will send you the files if you want to insert your own photos.  He requests a copy of your completed PDF for his records if you make a change.  Send your request to ROAR (click on Contact Us) and it will forwarded to Clark.

Manual:

Clark took the PDF of "Teaching Leave No Trace" provided by Howard Kerns and broke it down into three seperate PDF documents.  This allows you to email them to others which was a problem (because of file size) when using only one of the other versions available.  Click on "Teaching LNT Manual Options" below to access Clark's PDF's along with other options for viewing and obtaining the manual.
